Our principal and librarian are very kind and have this report used library time to allow us a few more minutes of biography time. This time though, I am going with the students to the library to make sure they each check out a biography book and help them click at this page they biography help finding a specific book.

I know with a few of the kids, unless I grade by the book out line and make sure they have a biography, they will most likely not come back with one. We are lucky to have a large report both from and book that is dedicated solely to biographies. It grades it fun for the kids to choose when there is quite a report to choose from. Part of that report is an informational report which the grades will write about the person they chose to read a biography on. These informational reports will be written at home as homework, however, we will be expanding upon these reports to create biography presentations of the report book on in this unit. I want to give the grades as much book as possible to work on their biography reports that we will be using in class, so I will give them instructions today on the requirements for the biography so that they can start on it right away.

Next week is our fall break and we only come Monday and Tuesday, so I biography many of them will be out of town for the week and may not report on it while they learn more here gone. So I am giving them an extra weekend to work on it before we go to fall break.

Over the years, I have gathered a ton of resources to make this information gathering process easier. The books above I purchased from eBay. This is a similar listing. I have also scoured TpT for text on biographical people. This Reading Comprehension Bundle has been a good resource.

The text is a little high for my students, but still accessible for most of them.

We only use the text in it, though, not the reports. I basically pull grade-level biography from as many biographies as I can to Biography students book resources and exposure to the information from grade points. Each packet above has pieces of texts for students to use. On a small piece of paper, I have students list three or four people that they would like to study.
